London's Hot Sauce Joints
Discover the Bauce Brothers guide to the London hot sauce scene. We show you craft hot sauce heroes from the capital city that sling their famous hot sauces on the side.
Locations - Brick Lane, Hoxton Square, Tooting
We start as we mean to go on! You may recognise this famous food truck from brick lane, but Orange Buffalo has been expanding for some time now, serving delicious wings south of the river too. Earlier this year we were invited down to Tooting for their brand-new restaurant on Mitcham Road and boy it did not disappoint. All of Orange Buffalo sauces are made from scratch and have a varying heat, from sweet and sticky barbecue to the infamous Viper (warning a waiver must be signed to try this beast). This place is a MUST go to in London if you love chicken wings and a good vibe.
The Sauce - Buy Orange Buffalo’s homemade sauce for £8 for a massive 500ML. For the DIY buffalo soldiers.
Bauce Brothers Pick - Woof Woof Chicken Wings - Signature sauce. Red chillies, scotch bonnets, naga & spices. £8

‘Plant powered goodness. “Indian Fusion, International Confusion” En Root has a real cult following, and we know why. Using fresh seasonal produce, they put their own twist on traditional Gujarati dishes. Like all the greats, these guys scaled up from food trucks and now their own space in Clapham. I was lucky enough to get my hands on some of this grub at the Hot Sauce Society in April in Peckham, lucky for me they sold out a few hours later.
The Sauce - En Root Raja Bonnet Sauce £5
Bauce Brothers Pick - Don Dada Platter - The ultimate perfect platter including all our culinary creations. The EN ROOT Select + 2 Pani Puri + 1 Paratha + Root Veg.

Location - Brick Lane Sunday Market, The Boleyn Tavern (Every West Ham Home Game).
Avid West Ham supporter Mark Gevaux has been lining the stomachs of football fans and Brick Lane visitors for years. The East Londoner offers rib meat rolls, rib racks and a range of hot sauce’s which have gained plaudits in the UK and beyond. The rib man’s ribs are more succulent than Marilyn Manson’s and we agree with his title of the ‘Best Ribs in London’. The hot sauce range varies in heat and also offers one off specials so keep your eyes peeled.

South London brothers and hot sauce heads Richie & Alex take the ‘slow cook’ throne with their take on the classic hog roast. Two of our favourite things are hot sauce and grilled food, the only way to make it better? Bang the joint in the middle of a brewery so you can grab a great pint while you’re at it. These guys offer their home-made sauces which are a perfect complement to their hog dominated menu, our favourites being the chilli apple sauce and the original hot sauce.
The Sauce - Original Hot Sauce and Chilli Apple Sauce both at £4.99
Bauce Brother Pick - Black Hog - Slow Roasted Pork, topped with Black Pudding and Slow Richie’s Original Hot Sauce.

Also, on the menu is a wide range of burgers, hot dogs, nachos and loaded fries certifying this spot as the real American dream. If that wasn’t enough the place sells a range of sauces which gives Prairie Fire the full Bauce Brother’s seal of approval.

This family ran business has been feeding football fans with their traditional seasonings and recipes for over ten years. The best burger in London, change my mind. Patty&Bun has gone from strength to strength since opening their first restaurant in James Street back in 2012. All produce is sourced from ethical British farmers who are strictly free range and use organic feeds. This burger joint is a must go also offering great music, perfect ambience, craft beer and of course, hot sauce! Another Jerk spot but we aren’t mad at it, Caribbean flavours are just perfect for hot sauce and we can’t get enough. Mama Jerk’s secret recipe originated in Mandeville Manchester, Jamaica and is now blessing our taste buds right here in the big smoke. Back in 2010 Mama Jerks started at the Vibe Bar on Brick lane and now has 3 permanent venues and does various pop ups across the country. Grab some hot pepper pickle sauce while you’re there, you won’t regret it.
