Halloween Hot Sauce

Don't waste your pumpkin and make an easy well rounded hot sauce with just a few ingredients! This is super easy and is a great base to play around with other spices.

What you need:


Pumpkin - 300G 

Carrot - 150G

Orange Habaneros - 30G - Use other chilli's such as scotch bonnet if Habaneros aren't available.
Garlic - 20G
Apple Cider Vinegar - 350ML
Tbsp - Salt
Tbsp - Sugar
Tbsp - Cumin
Water - 100ML


  • Cut off the top of your pumpkin, remove the insides and peel off skin. Cut into cubes.
  • Peel and cut your carrots as well.
  • Remove stems and cut Habaneros in halves.
  • With a pinch or salt and some olive oil mix in a baking sheet and roast for 30 minutes at 180.
  • Once roasted add to a food processor along with your garlic.
  • Heat olive oil over a pan, add in your mash from the food processor.
  • Add your apple cider vinegar and water to the pan, bring to boil and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Remove from the heat, strain your sauce, and bottle up!
